Fiat, another launch: preview of the 'New 500 3+1'.
The current year is proving to be a particularly important one for Fiat in terms of new developments on the car market. The Italian giant is making significant changes to all its lines and continues to present new models and reissues for a large number of cars.
One of those most subject to this process is the much-loved and inimitable 500, which has already seen several models ‘born’ this year. After the ‘Prima’ convertible and the saloon version, presented in March and June respectively, the New 500 3+1, nicknamed ‘la Prima’, was officially presented to the public in the last few days of October.
Nuova 500 3+1: presentation and features
The model was unveiled by Olivier François himself, the Fiat Brand President, at the event organised on 22 October at the Pinacoteca Agnelli in the Lingotto in Turin. It was a world preview organised precisely to present the entire 500 range, which is now ready for official marketing.
But what are the characteristics of this new model, particularly in relation to those released recently? The most interesting element of the range in question is undoubtedly the fact that we are talking about fully electric cars. A breakthrough and a clear look to the future.
A future that in this case, however, is mitigated or rather mixed with the past from the point of view of design: in fact, the New 500 3+1 goes back to its origins with an obvious detail that recalls the first 500, the 1957 model. This is the small third door on the passenger side, which opens against the wind. A smart solution that shows the historical continuity of the line.
Fiat Nuova 500 3+1, technical details and ideas behind it
The “Prima” project began two years ago, with a view to completely updating the brand in its most iconic models with the aforementioned openness towards the future. From a more purely technical point of view, this model features a large number of absolutely exclusive details: from the full LED headlights with “Infinity” design to the chrome inserts, passing through the entire line of eco-leather accessories (seats, dashboard and steering wheel).
There is also the Fiat monogram on the seats and a dedicated ‘la Prima’ plaque on the pillar. The model is also equipped with the most advanced ADAS systems available. The New 500 3+1 is available at launch in three colours: “Rose Gold”, “Glacier Blue” and “Onyx Black”. Mediability is proud to be working alongside the Italian giant in such an iconic period and will continue to offer its press review and analysis services.
